    1. Who do you call first?

My wife Dena, and after about 45 minutes of mutual hysteria, I hope we settle down to pray for guidance.

    2. What is the first thing you buy for yourself?

Very good legal and financial advice.

    3. What is the first thing you buy for someone else?

Complete college education trust fund for my 2 daughters, who will need it sooner than I’m ready. Plus high-speed ISP for each of them.

    4. Do you give any away? If yes, to whom?

a 6-month writing sabbatical for my favorite unemployed minister (actually, then I want to spend a lot of time with him about #1, above).

    5. Do you invest any? If so, how?

Don’t know. Have to follow the expensive financial advice I just paid for in #2.

That’s a fun set of questions. Thanks, bald man. I’m enjoying your site as well. Steve McMillan sent me here to begin with.

I’m a few years behind, but I do enjoy reading about you mission bucks dreams. :) That is a true slip if I’ve ever seen one.

I guess since I’m here I’ll play too.

    1. I’d call Mrs. Grotto. Just like all the rest of the people here. Share the news first with the one we love most.

    2. That is a tough question. I really don’t have a “I want list”. First I would pay off my house and other bills. Don’t know what buy first would be… Maybe that camera I’ve been saving pennies for…

    3. Buy for someone else? I’m not really a buy for someone kinda guy. I’d give money to someone else and let them buy.

    4. I would set up some sort of fund for the public schools of my choice. I’d earmark the money so that I could control where it was spent. There was a time I didn’t like that method of giving, but I’ve seen more and more that it has to be done.

    5. My goal would be to invest at least half to 3/4 of it, depending on the amount I donate. I have no real plan for an early retirement, but I would like to let it sit there and grow for a few years.
