Lot’s of change occurring here in the Aldrich household, and I’m struggling to adapt. Some of the changes are my own doing, and some isn’t; some is by choice, and some is inevitable. In the end it doesn’t really matter. Change it coming, and indeed is already upon us.
Now change isn’t new around here, so why am I having greater difficulty adapting this time? Not certain, but my current theory is this: Some of these changes are taking place at a fundamental level. I like (and need) a certain amount of routine and order. I need a small, but stable, nucleus around which the many electrons of life can fly. (I guess that makes me a negatively charged ion.) This time it seems like the nucleus is being the thing being rearranged.
Now that’s not at all a bad thing; it’s just harder. I’ll just have to hang in there until things settle and a new order can be established.
