Because I absolutely love “Tock Tick,” I have had Slaughterhouse Five on my reading list for some time.
Because I finally remembered to pick up Slaughterhouse Five from the library, I am now reminded of this link at the God’s Politics blog culled from Mike Todd back in the early spring. So it goes.

Vonnegut is one of my favorite writers. The thing with him though, he’s hard to find in the used book stores. I guess it is because so many people like his stuff and don’t want to part with it. SH-5 is good. I have been reading it for a long time. At heart, I am Tralfamadorian. Maybe that will help explain some things.
Just finished SH-5 last night. Glad I picked it up. Odd how he makes what I would regard as a strong anti-war statement without saying much directly. He just sort of presents the events and lets them speak for themselves.
He says tons without really saying it. If you haven’t read Cat’s Cradle, I would say it was my favorite of his books.
